When we come back to you, you get a straight answer on three things: whether the work is something we can do or something that needs a regulated firm, who will be doing it and under whose regulation, and what it will cost and what that price includes, in writing, before it starts. If we need the document itself, we ask for it then rather than expecting you to attach it to the form. Nothing begins until you have approved the scope and the price, and if the honest answer is that you do not need us, that is what you get instead.
Yes, and we tell you at the scoping stage, before you have committed to anything or spent any money. The trigger is usually one of three things: the matter is reserved, such as a court claim, conveyancing or probate; it is already contentious, with solicitors instructed on the other side or proceedings threatened; or a document needs a solicitor's involvement to work at all. Reserved legal activities for Buzz Legal clients are carried out by RHF Solicitors, authorised and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority under SRA no. 324115. Because RHF is already connected to Buzz Legal, the handover is not a cold referral: whoever picks up the reserved side has seen the file.
You know before anything starts. Defined jobs are quoted as a fixed fee, agreed in writing first, and the published starting prices are a contract review from £249 +VAT, a terms and conditions package from £695 +VAT, an employment starter pack from £895 +VAT, a shareholder agreement from £1,250 +VAT and HR policies with a staff handbook from £1,495 +VAT. The monthly subscriptions are Foundations at £49 +VAT, Business Legal at £249 +VAT and Virtual HR Manager at £499 +VAT. If something genuinely falls outside the agreed scope we stop and re-quote, so you are never billed for work you did not approve.
Yes. Enquiry details, documents and correspondence are handled under UK GDPR: general enquiries are kept for up to 12 months, prospective client records for up to 24 months, and client files for typically six years after the relationship ends. Data is shared only where there is a real reason — our own team and advisers, our IT and hosting providers, and RHF Solicitors or another authorised firm where a matter is handed over. This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Legal professional privilege is a separate question from confidentiality and is not something we can assume applies to advice that does not come from a qualified lawyer, so if privilege matters, raise it at the outset.
